Develop a volunteer handbook that outlines onboarding and offboarding processes and general guidance for volunteers. Because no materials currently exist, specifics, section structure, and any templates or checklists will be defined collaboratively with the volunteer during discovery.

This project will contain the following activities:

-Conducting an audit of our existing policies including reviewing our existing materials and asking any clarifying questions
-Identify policies that we should modify and any new policies or areas that should be addressed and included
-Present a detailed outline of a new handbook
-Finalize the handbook after receiving feedback from our team
A clear, consistent handbook will enable trauma-informed, reliable volunteer support aligned with JABEL’s mission. It will help volunteers be prepared to support survivor-focused programs like training and personal development, increasing the quality and safety of services for survivors.
Our team will work closely with the volunteer, review drafts, provide timely feedback, and coordinate regular check-ins so the handbook can be finalized and put into use by staff and volunteer coordinators.

Organization Mission

"Ending Lies to Empowering Lives". At JABEL, our mission is rooted in Anabel’s personal journey as a survivor of human trafficking, sexual assault, and domestic violence. As a victim advocate, her work is centered on empowering survivors by providing the tools, guidance, and training necessary to help them rebuild their lives and move forward with strength and dignity. We are committed to offering survivors the resources they need to foster self-sufficiency and healing, including vocational training, survivor scholarships, and personal development programs.
