Marketing and Messaging Framework

Teach by Tech is seeking a skilled volunteer to develop a comprehensive marketing and messaging package to support the launch of our social enterprise partnership with Azure Furniture. This initiative represents an innovative collaboration between our nonprofit workforce training programs and a sustainability-focused for-profit manufacturer, creating both economic opportunity and environmental impact.

We are seeking a volunteer to create a strategic communications plan and core messaging framework that clearly articulates:

-The mission and vision of the social enterprise
-The value and impact of the partnership between Teach by Tech and Azure Furniture
-The workforce development benefits for adult newcomers
-The environmental sustainability impact of using reclaimed beetle-kill wood
-The long-term economic sustainability model supporting Teach by Tech’s programs

Our social enterprise partnership with Azure Furniture creates a hands-on workforce training and employment pathway in carpentry and construction. Participants gain real-world experience producing high-quality furniture from sustainably sourced beetle-kill wood, building technical skills, workplace confidence, and pathways to long-term employment in the skilled trades.

A clear and compelling marketing and communications package is essential to the success and sustainability of this initiative. Strong messaging will help us attract customers, employer partners, and funders who are critical to sustaining this earned-revenue model. This revenue will be reinvested directly into workforce training programs, expanding access for underserved adult newcomers.

Additionally, effective communications will help elevate the visibility of our participants’ skills and contributions, demonstrate the value of inclusive workforce development, and strengthen partnerships with sustainability-focused businesses.

Ultimately, this project will help Teach by Tech build a sustainable social enterprise that creates lasting economic opportunity for newcomers while advancing environmentally responsible manufacturing practices.

We will share our organizational mission, strategic goals, and long-term vision for the social enterprise, including how it supports workforce development for adult newcomers and contributes to our financial sustainability.

We will provide background on our partnership with Azure Furniture, including its sustainability model using beetle-kill pine, the role of Teach by Tech participants in production, and the anticipated social, environmental, and economic impact.
