We'd love to become more searchable and validated online! This volunteer will review content and help publish a neutral, properly sourced Wikipedia article for the organisation. The volunteer will prepare an article draft that follows Wikipedia guidelines, assemble and format reliable citations (with sources we provide), and work with the coding on Wikipedia to set it up.
A well-sourced Wikipedia page will raise Alsama’s public profile and credibility, helping attract supporters, partners, and volunteers. It will increase awareness of our accelerated education model for Syrian refugee children and amplify the organisation’s mission to provide purpose, learning, and opportunity.
We have drafted the copy - we just need someone who knows how to use Wikipedia to help us.

Organization Mission

Alsama runs education centres, sports hubs, and social enterprises for Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Typically, refugee children are left behind by the educational system. They miss years of schooling, and there’s simply no way for them to “catch up”. 
Our cutting edge curriculum condenses the traditional 12-year education into just 6 years. Allowing our students to stay on track with the trajectory every teenager deserves: one towards their personal goals, dreams and aspirations. It’s not just about education. It’s about instilling our students with a sense of purpose and self-worth as they work towards realising their aspirations.
