We'd like to connect with a skilled volunteer who can help us develop a practical social media plan and setup support: review current Instagram, recommend which additional platforms to pursue, produce a simple content calendar and posting guidelines, and provide profile setup guidance and starter post ideas. Specific platforms and assets will be discussed with volunteers.
A stronger social presence will raise awareness of our mission to bring nature to every neighborhood, help connect families, schools, and community centers to nature programming, and expand equitable access to outdoor learning. Volunteers will help amplify outreach and community engagement.
We have an existing Instagram account; further details will be provided during interviews. We'll work closely with the volunteer to refine the plan and commit to implementing and maintaining the recommended approach after the engagement.

Organization Mission

The research is clear: nature makes kids healthier, happier, and smarter. Spending time outdoors, in nature, is essential for children’s healthy development. Our goal is nature in every neighborhood and every park, to ensure all children in our city have access to outdoor spaces where they can learn, play, and grow. We are committed to strengthening efforts to advance equity in access to nature by increasing opportunities for nature-rich recreation and expanding nature programming at our early childhood centers, schools, and community centers. We also advocate for urban greening as an environmental and community health strategy.
