Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 Migration

We want to connect with a skilled volunteer to help us migrate email accounts and users from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, provision Microsoft 365 user accounts with individual OneDrive storage, create shared departmental drives, and configure Intune enrollment so devices are assigned and OneDrive and shared drives auto-map at user login.

This migration will improve staff productivity, data security, and cross-department collaboration, enabling Restoration teams to more effectively deliver programs that support economic mobility, family stability, and neighborhood development in Central Brooklyn. Volunteers will directly strengthen the organization’s operational capacity.

We have taken several concrete steps to ensure this project is set up for success and that volunteers can engage with a well-prepared, committed partner. Internally, we have strong buy-in for this transition and have already begun foundational work to streamline and support the project outcomes. On the technical side, we have taken steps to establish the preliminary foundation of the Microsoft 365 platform, including initial setup and configuration of required Intune policies. We have assessed our licensing needs and confirmed that Business Premium licenses will meet our requirements. To prepare, our team has been actively cleaning and reviewing our data to ensure that only necessary and relevant information will be migrated, with older or non-essential data properly archived. In parallel, we are working on a clear and sustainable data structure within Microsoft SharePoint, ensuring that content will be easy to locate, manage, and maintain once the migration is complete .Details will be provided (admin access, user and department lists). Our team will participate in volunteer interviews, provide context and access, and collaborate on testing and a staged rollout so the migration can be validated and implemented smoothly.
