Engage a volunteer accountant to assess legally compliant deferred compensation options for the founder, recommend a practical structure, and deliver written guidance outlining implementation steps, tax and reporting considerations, and required documentation. Specifics will be provided during volunteer interviews.

A compliant deferred compensation plan will help Fenix transition to new leadership and protect organizational finances, supporting continuity of respectful, accessible care and integrated mental health services for low-income and Spanish-speaking families in Lake County.

We will provide relevant organizational documents and role information, be available for regular meetings, and share any existing policies. Details will be provided so the volunteer can move quickly; our team is prepared to review and implement the accountant's recommendations.
