Treedom for Palestine is a growing international nonprofit working with smallholder farmers in the West Bank to establish climate-resilient “Freedom Farms” — protected and irrigated olive farms that provide long-term livelihoods, land security, and food sovereignty.
We're seeking a skilled volunteer to help us complete a Website Audit & Ongoing Maintenance Support project. Our website is central to our fundraising, storytelling, and partner engagement, but it has grown organically and now needs a more systematic technical and UX review.
This project will include:
Phase 1: Website Audit
Review site structure, performance, and usability
Identify bugs, broken links, and technical issues
Assess mobile responsiveness and page speed
Review donation flows and key conversion paths
Flag accessibility and SEO basics
Phase 2: Implementation & Support
Fix high-priority issues identified in the audit
Improve navigation, layout, and user experience where needed
Add or modify pages (e.g. program pages, donation pages, impact content)
Provide light design/UX refinements
Create a short list of recommended future improvements
The goal is a cleaner, faster, more intuitive website — and ideally establish an ongoing relationship for periodic support as new content and features are added.
Our website is one of the primary ways people around the world discover Treedom for Palestine, learn about farming families in the West Bank, and decide to support our work. Improving our website will:
Increase our ability to raise funds for farmers
Strengthen storytelling around food sovereignty and climate resilience
Improve trust and credibility with donors and foundations
Make it easier for supporters to engage with and share our mission

Every improvement to our digital presence directly translates into greater visibility, stronger partnerships, and more resources reaching farming families who are working to stay on their land and build sustainable livelihoods under extremely challenging conditions. In short: a better website means more farms planted, more families supported, and more long-term impact on the ground.
We're well-positioned to make this a smooth and rewarding project for a volunteer. We have:
Full access to the website and hosting environment
Clear goals for how the website supports fundraising and communications
A primary point of contact (founder) for decisions
Content, copy, and media assets ready to use

We'll provide:
Weekly check-ins and prompt feedback
Access to relevant brand and content materials
The ability to implement changes immediately
We are also currently completing a broader Tech Systems Assessment project, so website improvements will directly plug into a larger organizational systems strategy.
