Design: Board Recruitment Flyer and Onboarding Packet

We need a skilled volunteer graphic designer/communications expert to create a branded flyer for prospective board recruitment and a cohesive onboarding packet/deck that combines visual design and targeted messaging to make Westside Food Bank stand out. The documents would have a cohesive look and feel in alignment with existing branding and include information on Westside Food Bank's history and mission, Board Member roles and responsibilities, what we are currently looking for in Board candidates, our give/get expectations, and more.

The flyer will be a recruitment tool handout for prospective Board members while the onboarding deck (packet) will be provided during the onboarding process to ensure the new Board member has the information and tools needed to succeed.

Westside Food Bank is at an exciting crossroads. The organization has more than doubled its service since the pandemic and we are in the early phase of a capital campaign to purchase a new permanent warehouse facility. A clear, professional packet will help recruit top executives to become committed board members who will strengthen governance, fundraising, and strategic capacity. This increased leadership capacity will directly support Westside Food Bank’s expanded work to reduce hunger in low-income communities.

WSFB's CEO and a Board Member will be co-leading this project with support from the CEO's Executive Assistant. We have branded assets (logos, colors, fonts, photos) and copy from previous versions that can be used as a starting point. We will provide content and timely feedback. We aim to complete the work in 6–8 weeks with regular check-ins. Details and final approvals will be coordinated with staff; specifics will be provided during the project kickoff
