This project focuses on developing a web-based application for Center for Supportive Communities (CSC) to support and modernize its core operations. The system will manage mentor and volunteer applications, documentation, scheduling, training, evaluations, student intake forms, assessments, and student profiles. Designed to serve staff, volunteers, and administrators, the application will centralize workflows, reduce administrative burden, and improve coordination across programs, allowing CSC to deliver more responsive and effective services.

CSC is looking for a skilled volunteer who can contribute to development while also providing technical expertise, mentorship, and guidance on best practices. This volunteer will support more advanced tasks and help strengthen the team’s internal technical capacity.

The application is being built using Dart and Flutter for front-end development and Firebase for back-end services, including database management, authentication, and APIs. The volunteer will assist with backend development (such as API design and data architecture), frontend UI/UX development, and overall system integration. This role also includes advising on deployment, security, scalability, and long-term maintenance to ensure the application is sustainable as CSC grows.

Our goal for this project is to create a comprehensive, functional web application that enhances our operational efficiency and supports our mission to create equitable opportunities for youth. The application will centralize data, streamline workflows, and provide valuable insights through real-time dashboards and reporting tools.
This project will directly support our mission by providing CSC with an efficient and reliable tool to manage its programs, improve operational workflows, and better serve children and families. The web application will empower our staff to allocate more time to mentorship and programmatic activities rather than administrative tasks, ultimately enhancing our impact on the community. By ensuring accurate data collection and reporting, we can demonstrate the success of our programs and secure additional funding and support.
My team has prepared for this project by:
• Documenting the specific workflows and functionalities required for the system.
• Designing much of the application’s UI/UX interface prototype.
• Outlining project goals, milestones, and timelines for clear progress tracking.
• Establishing communication channels and collaboration tools to ensure smooth interactions with the volunteer.
• Building large core, foundational components of the application.
