2025 Tax Filing and Payroll Tax Review

Project

* 1 person has applied to this opportunity
We'd like to connect with a CPA volunteer who will help us prepare and file our 2025 tax return, review our payroll tax payments and filings, and confirm whether any additional tax liabilities exist. The volunteer will advise on any corrections or next steps.

Specific documents and timelines will be provided during interviews. We are a small non-profit with only two employees, and we had only five grants/projects in 2025, so we believe this will not be too complicated of a project.
Accurate tax filing and payroll compliance protect our financial health and reduce risk so staff can focus on delivering nature-based programs for children. Volunteer support will help preserve resources for expanding equitable access to outdoor learning and recreation across the city.
Details will be provided. Our team will provide requested tax and payroll records and prior filings, be available for regular check-ins, and work collaboratively with the volunteer to clarify questions and implement agreed recommendations.

Organization Mission

The research is clear: nature makes kids healthier, happier, and smarter. Spending time outdoors, in nature, is essential for children’s healthy development. Our goal is nature in every neighborhood and every park, to ensure all children in our city have access to outdoor spaces where they can learn, play, and grow. We are committed to strengthening efforts to advance equity in access to nature by increasing opportunities for nature-rich recreation and expanding nature programming at our early childhood centers, schools, and community centers. We also advocate for urban greening as an environmental and community health strategy.
