Dog Rescue Website Visual Redesign (Wix)
The goal of this project is not a full system rebuild or new program development. Instead, we want a modern, mobile-first visual redesign of a defined set of existing pages to improve usability, clarity, and overall aesthetic across mobile, tablet (iPad), and desktop.
• Adopt dogs
• Say yes to fostering
• Volunteer their time and skills
• Donate and engage with our rescue
• Continue the trusted partnerships with us
We are a 501(c)(3), foster-based dog rescue, and our website is often the first (and sometimes only) interaction someone has with us. Improving the visual experience and usability will help convert interest into action… ultimately allowing us to save more dogs and support our community more effectively.
• Clear list of pages in scope
• Access to our existing Wix site
• Brand guidelines (colors, fonts, tone)
• Defined goals for each page (CTAs, purpose, audience)
• A single point of contact (Executive Director) for feedback and decisions
We understand this is a 2–5 hour/week volunteer engagement, so expectations will be realistic and focused. We’re open to prioritizing the most high-impact pages first if time is limited.
We are not asking the volunteer to:
• Create new programs
• Redesign content strategy
• Write new copy, however their input and expertise is valued and never discouraged
• Build new backend systems
This is a visual and layout refresh using existing content, with thoughtful improvements to navigation, hierarchy, and flow for mobile users.
