We're looking for a volunteer to create a professional-looking, digital-format annual impact report that communicates our impact to donors and stakeholders. The engagement will occur in four phases over four to five weeks. Our first session will be a brainstorm, where we will discuss the key metrics and information we would like to highlight. In our second session together, you'll give us a preview of the preliminary design, and we will provide feedback. We may need one or more additional feedback sessions before our time together culminates with you providing us with the final deliverable in a working format that we could edit in the future and a digital format we can easily share with our stakeholders. This report will be no longer than 12 pages.

Our ideal volunteer has experience designing brochures or reports and will be prepared to show us their portfolio of design examples. We have a Canva account and past report examples we can share. We hope you can spend 15-30 hours over four to five weeks.
Volunteers are at the heart of Wells Mountain Initiative’s mission to empower promising young leaders from low-income communities around the world through education, leadership development, and community-driven solutions. By sharing your time, skills, and perspective, you help remove barriers to education and unlock the potential of students who are already creating change in their communities.

This volunteer project directly supports WMI’s core goal: equipping Scholars with the resources and confidence they need to complete their education and lead positive change at home. Your involvement strengthens our ability to identify, support, and uplift students whose ideas and leadership have ripple effects far beyond the classroom.

As a WMI volunteer, your contribution goes well beyond the project itself; you become part of a global ecosystem of impact:
- Empowering Future Leaders: Your efforts help WMI provide scholarships and community development grants to students who are studying medicine, engineering, education, environmental science, public policy, and more—fields that directly address local and global challenges.
- Strengthening Community Solutions: WMI Scholars reinvest their education back into their communities, launching projects that improve access to healthcare, education, economic opportunity, and environmental sustainability. Your support helps make these grassroots solutions possible.
- Expanding Access to Education: By supporting our selection, mentorship, outreach, or storytelling efforts, you help ensure that talented students from underserved backgrounds are seen, supported, and given a fair chance to succeed.

When you volunteer with WMI, you are helping:
- A future doctor bring healthcare to a rural village
- A teacher expand access to quality education for girls
- A social entrepreneur create jobs and economic stability
- A community leader design solutions rooted in local knowledge and dignity

Many of our Scholars go on to serve thousands of people in their communities. Your volunteer contribution can ultimately impact hundreds or even thousands of lives.

By volunteering with WMI, you’re not just supporting a nonprofit, you’re helping build a more equitable future, one Scholar and one community at a time.
We'll share our logo and visual branding guidelines with you. We will take responsibility for writing the copy and providing you with compelling data for our report, as well as stories we'd like to highlight and some images. We've also gathered some examples of impact reports we like for your reference.
