Develop a TikTok Content Plan and Starter Content

We are looking to partner with a skilled volunteer to help us develop a simple, sustainable TikTok content plan. Our TikTok has performed extremely well in raising awareness of our food pantry and basic needs services across Arizona, but our previous content contributor recently transitioned out.

With a Taproot volunteer, we’d like to:

-Develop a light TikTok content strategy that aligns with our mission
-Brainstorm and plan approximately one post per week
-Create post ideas and captions that highlight our food pantry, clothing and diaper donations, and community impact
-Provide guidance on simple content requests (e.g., asking staff to take photos or short videos)

The volunteer does not need to film on-site. Our team can provide photos, videos, and stories as requested. The goal is to keep our TikTok active, engaging, and informative without creating a heavy workload.

Out of scope activities:
-Ongoing social media management
-Content development for other social media channels

Our mission is to ensure that food-insecure individuals and families across Arizona know where and how to access essential resources. TikTok has proven to be one of our most effective channels for reaching people who need our services—often in real time.

By supporting this project, a volunteer will directly help connect community members to food, clothing, and diapers they may not otherwise know are available. Their work will increase awareness, reduce barriers to access, and ultimately help families meet their most basic needs. This project has a direct, tangible impact on the well-being of our community.

We understand the importance of being organized and respectful of our volunteer’s time. We will provide clear goals, timely communication, and access to content, photos, and background information needed to create posts. We are open to feedback and excited to collaborate.

The outcomes of this project—content ideas, posting cadence, and templates—will be implemented immediately by our team to ensure continuity and impact beyond the Taproot engagement.
