My goal for this Taproot Project is to create a clear, lightweight project management and delivery framework that allows a small team of volunteers and interns to work effectively, sustainably, and with minimal overhead.

As doobneek grows, I anticipate collaborating with:
-Multiple Taproot volunteers across different specialties (AI/ML, advertising, fundraising, etc.)
-Up to two part-time interns contributing approximately 20 hours per week each
-A solo founder responsible for product direction, ethics, and integration

I’m seeking support to:
-Design a simple, scalable project management structure that works for a mission-driven, early-stage team
-Define roles, responsibilities, and decision-making boundaries between volunteers, interns, and the founder
-Establish clear workflows for onboarding, task definition, feedback, and handoff
-Create documentation and templates (roadmaps, sprint plans, status updates) that reduce coordination burden
-Ensure timelines are realistic and respectful of volunteer and intern capacity

The goal is not bureaucracy, but clarity - so contributors can focus on meaningful work without confusion or burnout.
Through working with our organization on this project, the volunteer will support our mission by enabling doobneek to responsibly scale its work without sacrificing ethics, quality, or care for contributors.

Strong project management directly supports our mission by:
Ensuring that volunteer and intern efforts translate into real, implemented outcomes
Preventing burnout and misalignment in a high-stakes, socially impactful product
Allowing a small team to deliver tools that support financial stability, legal navigation, and dignity for underserved communities
Modeling humane, transparent collaboration practices in the tech-for-good space
By building systems that respect people’s time and labor, this project helps ensure that doobneek can grow sustainably while staying true to its values.
My team and I have prepared for this project by:

Clearly defining product priorities and near-term technical goals
Securing internal buy-in for adopting lightweight project management practices
Identifying expected contributor roles (volunteers vs. interns vs. founder)
Committing to consistent communication, documentation, and follow-through
Planning to actively implement and maintain the systems created during this project

I will be highly engaged as the primary decision-maker and will ensure that all contributors have clear context, timely feedback, and respect for their time. Outputs from this project will be used immediately to manage real collaborators.
