Help us design a website that matches our mission.

We are looking for a creative web designer to help us redesign key pages of our nonprofit website so they better reflect our mission as an arts education organization. We currently use the Lovable website builder to create an interim website that showcases our programs. But as an arts education organization, we want a website that reflects just that!

We are a small nonprofit with limited time and limited graphic design experience. We would love a volunteer who can support our mission by ensuring our pages clearly showcases the mission and programs we offer. The volunteer should assess and incorporate our brand identity and needs, and consider our key audiences.

Our collaboration will take place over multiple meetings in six to nine weeks (or sooner, fingers crossed!)
We’re looking for a volunteer web designer who is excited to help an arts education nonprofit strengthen how we show up online. It’s one of our most important tools for reaching younger generations, families, educators, and community partners.

Right now, our website is a temporary solution that shares basic information about our programs, but it doesn’t fully reflect the creativity, care, and cultural impact of our work. With your support, we’ll be able to build a website that clearly visually captures who we are, what we offer, and why arts education matters—especially for communities that are often underserved or overlooked.

This project will directly support our ability to:

1. Increase program enrollment by making information easier to find and understand

2. Expand community partnerships by presenting our offerings in a polished and professional way

3. Strengthen fundraising and donor engagement by sharing our story more clearly and confidently

4. Build trust and visibility by ensuring our website reflects the quality and values of our programs

Your contribution will have a ripple effect. When families can easily access program details, when a school administrator can quickly understand how to partner with us, or when a potential donor can clearly see our mission and impact—it helps us serve more young people and sustain our work long-term.

Your time and talent will help us build something that not only looks beautiful, but actively supports our mission—making arts education more accessible, engaging, and visible to the people who need it most.
To make this project smooth and collaborative, we’ve gathered materials and are ready to share what you need from the start (images and copy included). We will provide access to our program decks, Canva Premium account, and Loveable app account, and we’re also happy to discuss building on Squarespace (our domain provider) or another manageable platform you have experience in that our small team can maintain long-term.

Organization Mission

NALA Projects is a New York City–based 501(c)(3) organization committed to building a foundation for creative literacy and equitable access to the arts. At the heart of our work is the belief that all communities should have the infrastructure to fully participate in NYC's cultural and creative environment. We take a multi-platform approach offering curriculum-aligned educational resources, digital arts engagement, and impactful public art experiences to unite education, environment, and experience. We believe art is not just for museums or galleries, art is a powerful tool for learning, connection, and empowerment. By designing inclusive programs grounded in local stories, we bring people together in ways that are meaningful and lasting. From interactive arts education to immersive public installations, our projects are tailored to inspire the culturally rich and diverse communities of New York City. In leading arts integration programs for K–12 students, curating public installations, and designing cultural connections for families, NALA Projects makes art accessible and impactful. Through thoughtful partnerships and project management, we turn creative ideas to ones that serve the community first.
