HEART (Humane Education Advocates Reaching Teachers) is seeking a Squarespace-experienced web professional to support the final go-live phase of our newly built website as we transition from HEART to our new brand. The website is complete and will be maintained internally by our staff; this project is strictly focused on ensuring all technical and backend elements are properly configured for a smooth, secure launch. Responsibilities include confirming SSL certificates, managing DNS settings, implementing redirects from the current website to the new site, and ensuring Google Analytics and related tracking tools are properly connected. The project also includes verifying that key integrations such as email sign-up forms and donation functionality connected to Mailchimp and Neon CRM are working as intended at launch. (Our domain is not hosted through Squarespace, so experience working with third-party domain providers is key.)
A well-set-up, maintainable Squarespace site will help HEART present our programs and resources, make it easier for teachers and supporters to engage with us — advancing our mission to develop youth who create positive change for animals, people, and the natural world.
Our team will be available to meet regularly, give feedback, and collaborate with the volunteer. It's a short-term project running now until around April 2026, with an estimated time commitment of approximately 1–1.5 hours per week, focused on testing, validation, and best-practice setup to ensure a successful public launch. It does not include ongoing website maintenance or long-term systems management.
