HJI is seeking a skilled grant writer volunteer to support the organization by drafting grant application templates based on the opportunities identified and provided by HJI.

Specific tasks may include
• Drafting grant application templates based on provided opportunities that the organization can continue to use in the future.
• Tailoring narratives to align with funder priorities and requirements
• Incorporating organizational data, program descriptions, and budgets supplied by HJI
Grant funding is essential to sustaining and expanding HJI’s programs. This project directly supports the organization’s ability to secure resources that enable services, staffing, and community impact.

By strengthening grant submissions, the volunteer helps translate the organization’s work into language funders understand and support. The impact is measurable. Successful grants increase capacity, stability, and the organization’s ability to serve more people with consistency and care.
HJI has internal alignment around funding priorities and a clear process for grant development.

The organization will provide
• A curated list of grant opportunities with deadlines and submission requirements
• Organizational background materials, program descriptions, and impact data

The volunteer will work directly with organizational leadership or a designated coordinator empowered to make decisions quickly.
