We are seeking a skilled volunteer to identify and provide up to 10 high quality, achievable grant funding leads for Droste Mental Health Services. The focus of this project is grant prospect research rather than grant writing. Leads should be well aligned with our mission, funding needs, and organizational profile, and realistically achievable within the next 6 months. For each lead, we are seeking key details such as funder focus, eligibility, typical award size, deadlines, and submission requirements.
Identifying realistic grant opportunities allows Droste MH Services to focus limited staff capacity on submissions with the highest likelihood of success. This project will strengthen financial sustainability and support continuity of mental health services for individuals and families. By prioritizing achievable funding leads within a defined timeframe, the organization can plan responsibly and steward resources effectively. Volunteers supporting this work will have a direct impact on the organization’s ability to secure funding that supports accessible, ethical mental health care.
We can provide background on our mission, programs, budget range, geographic focus, and prior grant activity. Clear criteria for what constitutes a viable lead will be shared upfront. A primary point of contact will be available for questions and quick feedback, and the resulting list of prospects will be actively used by our team for submission planning and follow through.

Organization Mission

Our mission is to provide accessible, affordable, and inclusive psychotherapy and trauma-informed counseling to New Yorkers in need. Rooted in the belief that true wellness comes from within, we are dedicated to empowering healing and resistance within each person we serve.
