Photography & Video Storytelling for International Yoga Day Miami
Specifically, we are seeking support to:
Capture on-site photography and short-form video across multiple stages and activations during the two-day event
Curate and lightly edit a select set of photos that reflect the scale, energy, and community impact of the event
Assemble short video clips or a brief highlight reel that can be used for post-event storytelling, social media, and future sponsorship outreach
The scope of this project focuses on on-site capture and light post-event editing, not full-scale video production. Shot lists, branding guidance, and access coordination will be provided to ensure the volunteer can work efficiently within a 2–5 hour per week commitment during the post-event period.
The final deliverables will be a reusable visual asset library that supports ongoing marketing, fundraising, and community engagement efforts.
By capturing high-quality photos and video from International Yoga Day Miami, this project will help document the scale, energy, and accessibility of a large-scale community wellness event that brings together yoga, meditation, education, and mental health - supportive practices. The volunteer’s work will help community members see themselves reflected in the event and feel encouraged to participate in future programs.
Beyond the event itself, the visual assets created through this project will support ongoing outreach, fundraising, and sponsorship efforts - allowing us to expand access to free or low-cost wellness programming, reach new audiences, and strengthen long-term sustainability. Volunteers will see their creative contributions translate directly into increased visibility, participation, and community impact in the areas of preventive health and mental well-being.
We will provide the volunteer with a detailed shot list, branding guidelines, access credentials, and a clear run-of-show for both event days. Pre-event coordination will ensure the volunteer understands key moments, speakers, and activations to capture, minimizing guesswork and maximizing efficiency on site.
Post-event, we will schedule structured check-ins, provide timely feedback, and align on realistic editing expectations that fit a 2–5 hour per week commitment. All final photo and video assets will be organized, credited appropriately, and implemented immediately by our internal team for marketing, fundraising, sponsorship outreach, and future event promotion.
By preparing thoroughly and maintaining clear communication, we aim to create a respectful, well-organized partnership that allows the volunteer to focus on creative storytelling while delivering lasting impact for our organization.
