We are looking for a skilled volunteer to help us explore and model a potential new revenue stream that aligns with our mission. This could include developing a fee-for-service model, launching a social enterprise, client-run enterprise, or monetizing an existing program or service. The goal is to assess financial viability of this option and forecast its potential revenue over the next 1-3 years.

At the end of this engagement, we would like to develop a planning brief that details:

-Our ideal consumer base
-Initial investment and/or start-up costs
-Running costs for administering the new venture
-Pricing options
-Estimate of our break-even point (how much revenue we need to earn to cover start-up costs and costs of administration

The first stage of this project will involve brainstorming and presenting options based on similar models used by peer organizations. Following the presentation of these ideas, you'll come up with a more in-depth evaluation and potential plan for implementation.
Skilled Volunteer Opportunity: Help Us Build a Mission-Aligned Revenue Stream

From Your Father is seeking a skilled volunteer with experience in business strategy, financial modeling, or social enterprise development to help us explore and design a sustainable revenue stream that directly supports our mission.

Our organization exists to walk alongside fatherless children and single mothers, providing tangible resources, meaningful experiences, and long-term support that moves families from survival to stability. As we grow, building earned revenue is essential to ensuring our programs remain consistent, dignified, and scalable.

This project will help us do exactly that.

How This Project Advances Our Mission

Today, From Your Father serves hundreds of families through Love Boxes, hands-on experiences, and discipleship rooted in relationship and care. A sustainable, mission-aligned revenue stream allows us to:

Reduce reliance on unpredictable funding sources

Expand services without compromising quality or values

Create long-term stability for the families we serve

Potentially offer income-generating opportunities for clients themselves

This project is about more than revenue. It is about stewardship, sustainability, and ensuring that families can rely on us month after month, year after year.

Your expertise will help turn a vision for sustainability into a clear, actionable path forward.

Project Scope and What You’ll Help Create

The goal of this engagement is to assess and model a new earned-revenue opportunity that aligns with our mission and values. Possible concepts may include:

A fee-for-service model

A social enterprise or client-run enterprise

Monetizing an existing program, service, or asset

The project will unfold in two phases:

Phase 1: Exploration & Ideation
You will help us brainstorm and evaluate potential revenue models, informed by best practices and examples from peer organizations and the nonprofit sector.

Phase 2: Financial Evaluation & Planning
From there, you will support the development of a concise planning brief that includes:

Our ideal consumer or customer base

Estimated start-up or initial investment costs

Ongoing operating and administrative costs

Pricing options and assumptions

Break-even analysis and projected revenue over 1 to 3 years

This planning brief will directly inform board-level decisions and potential pilot implementation.

Why This Is a Meaningful Opportunity

This project offers a rare opportunity to shape the long-term sustainability of a growing nonprofit at a pivotal moment. Your work will directly influence how we fund our mission, support families, and potentially create pathways for dignity-centered income generation within our community.

Volunteers who thrive in this role are strategic thinkers who care about impact, enjoy problem-solving, and want to use their skills to create real, measurable change.

If you are passionate about mission-driven entrepreneurship and want your expertise to leave a lasting legacy, we would be honored to partner with you.

Together, we can build something that sustains hope for generations to come.
To set this project up for success, we will provide access to relevant program data, current funding sources, and any preliminary ideas or research we've conducted. We will also ensure that key team members are available to provide context and feedback throughout the process.

To prepare for this project, we've done some initial brainstorming of potential service offerings that could generate revenue while advancing our mission and outlined our current cost structure and capacity.

Organization Mission

Children without the support of their father face challenges that touch every part of life — from school to confidence to daily needs. Single moms are left doing double duty, often exhausted and overlooked. And many who want to help don’t know how to start. At From Your Father, we believe God Himself steps in as the Father to the fatherless — and He calls us to be His hands and feet.
