Our goal for this Project is to create a comprehensive analysis, overview, and forward-looking budget forecast for the Facilities Team, which currently manages two properties and is projected to expand to approximately thirty properties over the next several years with the long-term support of the YARDI program.

This project will establish a clear, scalable budget framework that supports current operations and future growth. By the end of the year, this project will define and prioritize three key focus areas, providing actionable budget guidelines that will allow the Facilities Team to aligned, prepared, and financially on track for 2026
This effort strengthens the operational foundation that enables us to serve first responders, veterans, and their families. As our housing portfolio grows, responsible facilities management and long-term financial planning are critical to ensuring the homes we provide remain safe, sustainable, and well cared for.

By developing a clear and scalable budget framework, this project helps us maximize resources, plan responsibly for growth, and protect the long-term value of the properties that support our programs. This work enables us to focus more effectively on what matters most—honoring the sacrifice of our nation’s heroes and delivering on our promise to the families and communities we serve.
We will provide volunteers with background materials, including current budgets, property data, and growth projections, so they can focus on analysis and recommendations. The outcomes will be implemented by the Facilities and Finance teams to support 2026 planning and future property expansion and implemented into YARDI.

Organization Mission

Tunnel to Towers believes that no Veteran who volunteered to serve our country should be left struggling on the streets they once helped to defend. In 2023, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation launched its Homeless Veteran Program with the ambitious mission to eradicate Veteran homelessness nationwide, and has provided housing assistance and services to more than 6,500 veterans. The Foundation has Veterans Villages in Houston, Texas; Riverside, California; West Los Angeles, California; and Phoenix, Arizona. Construction is underway on Villages in Bradenton, Florida, Mableton, Georgia, Island Park, New York, Charleston, South Carolina, and Detroit, Michigan. Tunnel to Towers is ready to bring this program to Colorado.
