Project Goal: Refine the structure and content strategy of VoAFP.org so patients and clinicians can easily understand our mission, strategic direction, core initiatives, and research priorities.

Estimated Duration: 6–8 Weeks (based on 2–5 hours per week commitment)

Key Deliverables & Volunteer Tasks
We are seeking a volunteer with experience in website information architecture and content strategy to guide us through Phase 1 of our site refresh. The volunteer will collaborate with the VoAFP leadership to define the site's structure based on our new priorities.

Task 1: Content Gap Analysis:
-Identify existing pages that are unclear, outdated, or missing entirely.
Deliverable: A brief outline of 5-7 key content pages and their required content focus.

Task 2: Primary Navigation Refinement:
-Recommend a clear and intuitive primary navigation bar aligned with out updated priorities (e.g., Home, Mission/Vision, Initiatives, Research, About Us, Donate).

Task 3: Initiatives Showcase:
-Outline how to present our initiatives in a way that is easy for patients and clinicians to understand.
Deliverable: A simple content framework for the “Our Initiatives” page (sections, headings, key messages).
Why This Project is Exciting
Direct Impact on Health Outcomes: Your work will make it easier for patients to find reliable information and engage with initiatives that directly improve the diagnosis and treatment of Atrial Fibrillation—a widespread and serious condition.

High-Visibility Deliverables: You will leave a tangible legacy by designing the new information architecture (site map) and refining the core content strategy for a growing national nonprofit.

Defined Scope: We have broken down the project into manageable phases, focusing on content refinement, information architecture, and user journey over a clear 6-8 week timeline (2-5 hours/week). You will be tackling specific, high-value tasks, not open-ended development.

Collaborative Environment: You will work directly with dedicated VoAFP leadership who are ready to provide all necessary context and content, ensuring your time is spent on strategy and execution.
Help us transform our digital front door to better serve the Atrial Fibrillation community. We look forward to partnering with you!
To prepare for the project, we can provide you with detail about our target audiences and our organization's goals, and how we measure success. We will provide access to the back-end of our website. We also have a dedicated volunteer member of our team who will be responsible for supporting you throughout the project.

Organization Mission

Voices of Atrial Fibrillation Patients (VoAFP.org) is a dedicated community founded on the belief that the collective experiences of individuals living with atrial fibrillation are invaluable in shaping the future of medical research and ultimately improving patient outcomes. Our mission is to provide a platform where AFib patients can share their stories, insights, and challenges, fostering a supportive environment that amplifies their voices and connects them with the medical research community. By bridging the gap between patients and researchers, we aim to facilitate a deeper understanding of AFib, promote patient-centered research, and drive innovation in treatments and care. Together, we empower AFib patients to become active contributors in shaping the future of AFib research, clinical outcomes with your care team, leading to enhanced treatments, improved quality of life, and a brighter tomorrow for all those affected by this condition.
