Digital Communications Volunteer – Messaging and Content Coordination

Are you passionate about education and dedicated to helping families who face significant financial barriers that limit access to quality schooling for their children? Mission Dolores Academy is an independent K-8 school in the Mission District of San Francisco which serves an under-resourced population.

We are seeking an experienced, mission-driven communications professional to help design and implement a strategic, coordinated monthly communication effort across all channels.

Specifically, we are looking for a creative partner to develop a comprehensive annual marketing and communications plan, including templates with coordinated monthly messaging across multiple channels. This includes creating content for social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), donor communications, parent communications, and website landing page alignment, as well as writing targeted copy for marketing and engagement purposes. The role will also involve providing visual suggestions, including photos and short video content.

This project is at the heart of MDA's mission. Coordinated communication to the San Francisco and Bay Area communities will further highlight the exceptional academics and supportive on-campus wellness initiatives. By engaging families and supporters more effectively, a strategic marketing and communications plan will help:
- Broaden our community’s understanding of the school’s value
- Attract new families, increasing enrollment
- Strengthen our donor base with those who care deeply about our mission
