Research and identify funders and produce at least three completed grant applications or LOIs ready for submission, a grant-tracking sheet with deadlines and notes, and a one-page proposal summary template. The volunteer will also help draft reporting templates and align language with our nonprofit narrative; specifics will be discussed during interviews.
Winning grants will directly expand transportation, housing, mental health, and legal supports for families and returning citizens, helping keep families connected and supporting successful re-entry. This work will help LoopTroop scale services across Maryland, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Mexico, and California and increase access to visits and community supports.
Our leadership team will collaborate with the volunteer to review priorities and align proposals with our existing 501(c)(3) narrative and program descriptions. Team members will be available to provide context, review drafts, and clarify program needs. Specific timelines and materials will be provided during the volunteer interview.

Organization Mission

Loop Foundation is dedicated to keeping families connected, strengthening communities, and supporting successful re-entry for individuals impacted by incarceration. We provide transportation assistance for families visiting loved ones in prison, deliver community-based support programs, and create pathways for returning citizens to rebuild their lives with dignity and opportunity. Through innovation, advocacy, and compassion, we work to break cycles of isolation and empower families to thrive.
