Accounting Systems Set Up

We're looking for a volunteer with experience setting up a bookkeeping system and/or software from scratch! You'll help us set up regular recording, reconciliation, and reporting practices by spending 20-25 hours with us over 4-5 weeks. In our first meeting, we will provide all of our account e-statements and our most recent event's excel sheet. This is only form of existing financial record-keeping and reporting systems . In phase one of the project, we would love your help in migrating our data over to our new software or a clear excel spreadsheet and help us set up our account administrator privileges for our executive director- we are very small and all of this is being done through co-founder and executive director Lisa Jasienowski. In the second phase of our project, you will provide Lisa with basic training to ensure she can upkeep the new book-keeping format. We ask that you make yourself available for up to two weeks to address our questions as we adjust to the new software and systems. This support is imperative as we just beginning to enter a stipend process for our volunteers and purchasing workers comp insurance.

Our organization has been around for more than a decade doing completely volunteer based grassroots work. We are now at a place of elevation, honor and growth, where providing our volunteers and leaders with monetary gratitude for their love, energy and time. We do not want to do this wrong- we want and need to have a clear, efficient system to ensure our organization is accountable and ready for the incredible doors opening for us.

We will go through all of our e-statements and prepare them to our knowledge of what purchases were made for what/ stipends etc. to make sure the volunteer has the information needed.
