Operations Mentor for International Nonprofit Serving Refugees

We’re looking for an experienced operations professional to mentor a team member at Creshendo who is stepping more deeply into nonprofit operations and internal systems.

This is a learning-focused, mentorship-style project. The volunteer will meet with Natalie, our emerging operations lead (former USAID), on a regular basis (weekly or bi-weekly) to help her:
• Understand core components of nonprofit operations
• Strengthen internal coordination and documentation systems
• Develop time and task management frameworks for teams
• Learn how to identify inefficiencies and build solutions
• Gain confidence navigating global team logistics

This mentorship is ideal for someone who enjoys coaching, working cross-functionally, and building the capacity of mission-driven leaders.

Creshendo is a global nonprofit creating education, economic, and storytelling programs with migrants and displaced communities. As we grow, strong operations are essential, not only to scale our impact, but to protect our people from burnout and inefficiency.

By mentoring Grishanna, you’ll help build internal leadership capacity, strengthen team systems, and ensure our growth remains sustainable. You’ll be directly shaping the operational foundation that supports refugee-led and migrant-centered programming around the world.

You’ll be paired directly with Natalie and supported by Creshendo’s Executive Director. We’ll offer a clear onboarding session, define priorities together, and provide context on how operations currently function across our teams. You’ll never be expected to “fix” things. Your role is to empower and guide.

Mentorship sessions can be short and focused. We prioritize respect for your time and clarity in our asks.
