We’re seeking a recruiting-savvy HR volunteer to help Change Me Foundation Inc. (CMF) attract, source, screen, and place mission-aligned volunteers into key staff-capacity roles. The goal is a repeatable recruiting engine that fills priority roles quickly and supports 90-day retention.

Activities may include:

Clarify 5–8 priority roles, time commitments, and success profiles

Draft/edit volunteer job descriptions and value propositions

Build a multi-channel sourcing plan (VolunteerMatch, Idealist, LinkedIn, Handshake, local universities, faith/community partners, fraternities/sororities, run clubs, health systems, etc.)

Create outreach toolkit (DM/email templates, social blurbs, flyers)

Set up a lightweight applicant pipeline (Google Sheets or Airtable) and an application form

Define a fast, friendly screening process (intake form, interview script, selection rubric)

Advise on onboarding & 90-day retention (checklists, welcome email, buddy system, first-week plan)

Recommend basic compliance steps (references; background checks if role-appropriate)

Expected timeline: 4–6 weeks
Volunteer time: ~2–4 hours/week

Deliverables

Prioritized recruiting plan with channels, timeline, and weekly cadence

5–8 finalized volunteer role descriptions with time commitment & impact statements

Outreach toolkit (3–5 reusable email/DM templates, 3 social posts, 1 flyer copy)

Candidate pipeline tracker + simple ATS workflow (stages, owner, SLAs)

Interview guide & selection rubric per role

Onboarding checklist + 90-day retention plan

Metrics dashboard (time-to-fill, # sourced/interviewed/placed, 30/60/90-day retention)
CMF’s mission—Turning Trauma Into Success—relies on strong people power to deliver mental-health education, advocacy, and community programs across Broward County. Filling key staff-capacity volunteer roles directly expands service capacity, stabilizes programs, and improves continuity for youth and families we serve (e.g., Walk In My Shoes 5K & Community Resources Fair, Thanksgiving Drive, case management navigation, workshops).

Priority Roles to Fill (example set—final list confirmed in Week 1)

Volunteer Chief Operating Officer (Hybrid, ~20 hrs/month): Ops cadence, SOPs, light HR/finance coordination.

Volunteer Program Coordinator (8–12 hrs/week): Scheduling, vendor/partner coordination, data tracking.

Volunteer Case Manager / Navigator (5–8 hrs/week): Intake, referrals, follow-ups (training provided).

Volunteer Community Health Worker (4–6 hrs/week): Outreach, screenings, resource navigation.

Volunteer Events Lead (5–8 hrs/week, seasonal spikes): 5K, Back-to-School, Thanksgiving logistics.

Volunteer Social Media & Content Coordinator (4–6 hrs/week): Calendars, posts, light design.

Volunteer Grant & Corporate Outreach Associate (4–6 hrs/week): Prospecting, LOIs, sponsor outreach.

Volunteer Data & Evaluation Assistant (3–5 hrs/week): Dashboards, simple reports.

What success looks like

5–8 roles posted on 6–10 channels within 2 weeks

30–50 qualified applicants sourced; 10–20 interviews conducted

5–8 placements completed within 6 weeks

≥80% 90-day retention for placed volunteers

Documented, repeatable recruiting playbook

Ideal Volunteer Skills

Hands-on recruiting (nonprofit or startup a plus)

Comfortable running scrappy, high-touch outreach campaigns

Familiar with VolunteerMatch, Idealist, LinkedIn, Handshake; local South Florida networks a plus

Process design (intake → screen → interview → offer → onboard) and light ATS setup

Logistics

Schedule: Flexible; some evening/weekend outreach for community events

Duration: 4–6 weeks, 2–4 hrs/week

Equity & Inclusion: CMF welcomes volunteers of all backgrounds and lived experiences. We’re committed to inclusive recruitment, accessible onboarding, and trauma-informed practices in all programs.
CMF will bring a pre-vetted list of priority roles, historic outreach attempts, and brand assets (logo, tagline, style).

We’ll provide quick decision cycles (48–72 hr feedback), calendar availability for interviews, and point people for each role (Board/Staff).

We’ll implement the recruiting workflow immediately and track weekly metrics to iterate fast.

At Change Me Foundation, our mission is to educate, advocate, and empower individuals and families to overcome barriers and reach their full potential. We are deeply committed to addressing the needs of underserved communities—children, youth, seniors, veterans, and those experiencing homelessness—by creating programs and services that promote resilience, wellness, and long-term success. We believe that every person deserves access to opportunities that foster growth, healing, and hope. Through community outreach, health and wellness initiatives, mental health advocacy, and educational programs, we provide the tools and resources necessary for people to thrive in the face of adversity. Our work focuses on breaking cycles of trauma and stigma by turning lived challenges into pathways of empowerment. We collaborate with schools, faith-based institutions, community leaders, and local partners to ensure that families and youth have access to culturally relevant services that support their mental, emotional, and social well-being. Change Me Foundation stands as a pillar of support for those who need it most, transforming communities by inspiring resilience, promoting equity, and nurturing potential.
