Revenue Development and Diversification

We are looking for a skilled volunteer to help us explore and model a potential new revenue stream that aligns with our mission. This could include developing a fee-for-service model, launching a social enterprise, client-run enterprise, or monetizing an existing program or service. The goal is to assess financial viability of this option and forecast its potential revenue over the next 1-3 years. We need strategy on our ideal consumer base, initial investment and/or start-up costs, running costs for administering the new venture, and pricing options.

The first stage of this project will involve brainstorming and presenting options based on similar models used by peer organizations. Following the presentation of these ideas, you'll come up with a more in-depth evaluation and potential plan for implementation.

This project will allow us to serve more underserved youth and families with donations (hygiene items, tech devices, baby care items, school supplies, clothing essentials, and scholarships for out-of-school programs and sports.

- Diversified revenue streams, reducing reliance on grants and donations by generating at least 20–40% of annual income through fee-for-service or social enterprise activities within 2–3 years.
- Increased financial sustainability demonstrated by building a reserve fund or operating surplus.
- Development of a scalable business model aligned with the nonprofit’s mission.
