We’re looking for a skilled volunteer to help us prepare and submit our upcoming quarterly employment tax filings for both federal and state agencies, based on a schedule and workflow that will be provided. This includes verifying that past filings are complete and submitting any required documents on our behalf. Experience in managing payroll tax fillings, specifically for nonprofits operating in more than one state; familiarity with IRS Form 941 and relevant state equivalents is preferred.

Accurate and timely tax filings are critical to our nonprofit’s ability to operate without disruption. Your support ensures we stay in good financial and legal standing, allowing us to continue offering vital educational and employment services to people reentering society after incarceration. This work directly supports our ability to create opportunities for stability, dignity, and empowerment.
Skills Needed: CPA, Financial Audit, Accounting

We will provide the volunteer with access to our existing payroll and accounting systems, the newly developed workflow and schedule, and any past documentation related to tax filings. The work will be focused on two quarters, with an estimated time commitment of 8–15 hours over 4-8 weeks. Staff will be available for coordination and review throughout the project.
