We are seeking a skilled volunteer to help Ineffable Films create a Fundraising & Development Strategy that will guide our nonprofit’s growth over the next 12–18 months. Your skills in business planning and business development will be invaluable in leading this work. This project includes:
• Reviewing our current fundraising efforts and identifying gaps/opportunities
• Recommending donor engagement and stewardship strategies
• Outlining a diversified fundraising plan (individual giving, grants, sponsorships, events)
• Providing a roadmap for staffing or volunteer needs to support fundraising long-term
Ineffable Films empowers young filmmakers from diverse cultural backgrounds to share their stories with the world. A strong fundraising strategy will allow us to sustain and expand our programs, from mentorship and film festival submissions to global cultural exchanges. By building a clear development plan, this project will directly support more youth voices being heard, more films being made, and more cultural bridges being built.
We’ve already clarified our leadership structure, identified where Fundraising & Development is missing, and outlined our immediate funding priorities. Our Executive Leadership and Communications team will work directly with the volunteer, providing organizational materials, program descriptions, impact stories, and access to our CRM tools. We will schedule regular check-ins and provide timely feedback to keep the project on track.

Organization Mission

Ineffable Films is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young filmmakers from international lineages to tell the human journey of awakening in a world different from them, yet one they cannot abandon. We explore narratives that expose and celebrate the cultures, ethnicities, and communities of worlds both real and imagined. Our mission is to support these teenagers, especially those from BIPOC backgrounds, in telling their unique human journeys through the powerful medium of film. We operate primarily in the Greater Boston area, including Somerville, Cambridge, and Brookline, with aspirations to expand our reach and impact.
