Grant Research

Rising Filipinas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Los Angeles, CA. We are searching for someone who has beginner/intermediate grant writer or experience in identifying grant opportunities to assist our Rising Filipinas team.

To implement this grant writing project, we'll need two meetings with a volunteer. In our first meeting, we will provide you with a copy and review the application draft with you. We'll align on expectations and agree on the project timeline. Next, you'll review our document using the track changes function checking for inconsistencies and continuity errors, and creates a list of recommended changes to share with us. The project will conclude after up to two rounds of edits which the volunteer will make the agreed-upon changes to the document.

Rising Filipinas is a community-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Los Angeles that helps women and girls everywhere by offering guidance, learning opportunities, cultural connection, and emotional support.

We’re looking for a beginner-friendly volunteer to help us research grants and gather information that will keep our programs thriving.

We have a dedicated team member for the project who will provide you with the document that needs to be reviewed in an easily shareable format. (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, etc.) We'll also send you the proposal and application guidelines. Google Docs usage is how we communicate, if you don't use Google, please let us know so we can accommodate for you.
