Social Media Strategy Assistance and a Templated Monthly Social Calendar

We’re on a mission to grow the Rainbow Reserve, the first saguaro cactus memorial forest that honors and protects our queer community beyond death, all while conserving land and propagating saguaros, iconic symbols of the Southwest.
We'd like to bring more people into our vision of protecting and celebrating the desert. We could really use a creative partner to help us step up our social media game.

Here’s what we’re looking for: someone to build a simple, reusable one-month posting calendar that keeps our multiple channels organized and easy to manage. You’d help draft 15–20 posts that reflect our story & mission, and give us tips on tailoring content for each platform. We’d also love your advice on the best tools to automate posts for ease of use!

Your final deliverable? A ready-to-use calendar filled with posts that make it effortless for us to stay connected with our community and keep Rainbow Reserve’s mission front and center.

You're a great fit for us if you're passionate about our mission, you have a background in managing professional social media accounts, and you can spend ten hours over one to three weeks on this project.

At the Rainbow Reserve, we’re building more than a nonprofit. We’re protecting desert landscapes, preserving the iconic saguaros, and weaving queer art and history into a living space for community and conservation. We’re seeking a creative volunteer to help us bring this vision to life through Instagram posts and stories. By crafting content that highlights the beauty of the desert and the heart of our mission, you’ll help us reach more people, inspire action, and drive support for protecting this land.

Your storytelling will directly fuel conservation efforts, amplify queer voices, and grow a community that cares deeply for the desert.

To prepare for the project, we will provide you with our social media handles and website. You'll have access to a file of some photos, logos, and a list of current hashtags.
