Develop a Corporate Giving Strategy to Power Climate Action!
With this project, our goal is to build a strategic framework that allows us to:
-Identify and prioritize local and regional corporate partners whose values align with climate, clean energy, and sustainability goals.
-Develop a menu of partnership opportunities (e.g., sponsorships, employee giving campaigns, matching gift programs, event support, in-kind contributions).
-Refine tailored outreach materials and a compelling pitch deck for prospective partners.
-Draft a corporate engagement pipeline and calendar that integrates with our fundraising and programming schedules.
This strategy will serve as the foundation for long-term corporate relationships and revenue generation—essential for scaling our community impact. We anticipate needing 2–5 hours per week of volunteer support over a 4–6 week period.
This project will strengthen our ability to partner with the corporate sector—an increasingly important ally in advancing climate and social impact goals. A strong corporate giving strategy will allow us to:
-Secure resources to expand our programs in underserved and high-impact communities.
-Build long-term, mission-aligned relationships with companies that care about sustainability and local impact.
-Mobilize additional ambassadors, employee volunteers, and matching gift programs to boost visibility and engagement.
For the volunteer, this is a unique opportunity to help bridge the gap between business and climate action. Your time and expertise will directly support the expansion of environmental programs that reduce emissions, lower energy costs, and create healthier communities across Westchester County.
To prepare, we have:
-Gathered potential partnership materials, sponsor lists, and past donor outreach examples.
-Identified program areas we believe would appeal to mission-aligned businesses.
-Researched local and regional corporations with sustainability and ESG priorities.
-Identified initial partnership ideas we’d like to explore and test with guidance from the volunteer.
We’re prepared to collaborate quickly and efficiently with our Taproot partner, and we’re committed to implementing the final deliverables as part of our broader development plan. This strategy will directly feed into our Q4 outreach and 2026 planning cycle.
