We would like an individual or a team with strong nonprofit experience to conduct a SWOT analysis on our pantry and its operations.

We would like to evaluate the efficacy of our distribution team as well as identify ways in which the pantry can improve its operations given its limited budget. We would like to improve our overall reputation and help our unique profile shine within the greater Queens community (and beyond).
Kehilat is a local independent Kosher Food Pantry. Our aim is to help fight hunger within the greater Queens Community and beyond. We know we are not the only food pantry and given that we operate in the heart of the Jewish Community of Queens we know that we are not the only kosher food pantry in the area either.

However, as an independently owned and operated Food Pantry with operating hours 5 days a week including being open for 6 hours every Sunday we hold certain advantages over the competition. However, we feel as though those advantages are not seen by the community so we would like to see what can be done to help to make our brand more visible to the community. We are seeking to grow both our client base as well as our volunteer base as they work hand in hand to help us to grow our operation as a whole.
Our admin team will provide whatever documentation is necessary. Additionally, the volunteer will have full unrestricted access to see our program in action during multiple distribution events from set up to clean up.

We will also make our full management team available for any questions or concerns that may arise.

Organization Mission

Kehilat Sephardim Food Pantry aims to end hunger in the surrounding Jewish / Immigrant communities and beyond by providing Kosher and assorted goods multiple days a week via an open market and client choice system where all of our food is visible and clients can choose what they would like to take for themselves and their loved ones. We believe: “One should not have to choose between their religious/ dietary needs and going hungry.”
