My goal for this Taproot project is to pair our Board Development Committee chair and our deputy director with a skilled volunteer who can assess our current board recruitment strategy and make recommendations to improve the strategy. Our focus being placed on what types of organizations to look towards for potential board members.

Through working with Bay Area Creative on this project a skilled volunteer will help us to broaden our support system, establish a sustainable funding source through board contributions and broaden our scope of professional skills by bringing new talent and ideas to our organization.

My team and I are currently working on this initiative through a Board Development Committee. We have conducted an analysis of our current board needs, have collected the necessary documents for new board members and have created a board recruitment flow chart.
