Our goal is to create profiles of 20-30 prospective donor foundations and corporations, as candidates to contribute to a capital campaign.

Despite abundant, fertile land nearby, we've identified more than 100 rural counties, Indigenous communities, and US Territories that have poor food access, high incidence of nutrition-related disease, and persistent childhood poverty - simply because the local food system doesn't have processing, storage, or distribution space serving the community. Our capital campaign - $45 million over 3 years - will fund construction of the first ten locations, proving the concept, and accelerating progress toward our goal of 100 facilities.

We have identified and pre-screened about 80 prospective organizations but need to develop additional information to verify their suitability and tailor our campaign messaging to their mission and giving priorities. We have developed our campaign strategy, case statement, and schedule, and now need to start executing with focused messaging relevant to each prospect. Volunteers will make that critical first step toward building strong relationships with our donor community.
