My goal is to find a volunteer who can identify appropriate grant applications and organizations. In addition, I would like this volunteer to complete 2-3 grant applications for review by the Board of Directors.
On November 9, 1938, Bertha Wolf's life was shattered during Kristallnacht. Nazi Storm Troopers attacked her home and textile shop, forcing her to flee. Four years later, she was murdered at the Sobibor Concentration Camp.

Today, 95 years later, Bertha’s family is working with partners in Germany to ensure her life was not in vain. They have formed nonprofits in the U.S. and Germany to combat the same intolerance that led to her death. Bertha’s home is being restored, transforming the very place where her life was nearly destroyed into a center for public programs that fight antisemitism and reduce intolerance.

We need your help. We're looking for a dedicated volunteer to source and process grants to fund these critical efforts. Your work will directly support the mission of making Bertha’s legacy a force for good in the world.
The Bertha Project 2.0 has just been approved by the IRS for its 501c3. The board is 100% behind the effort to find funding in order to complete our mission. Although our non-profit is brand new, our board is made up of individuals who have been involved with grant writing on a professional basis-a Rabbi, two healthcare professionals, a journalist, an accountant, and a former immigrant from Afghanistan. We are all prepared to support the efforts of this volunteer. We used a non-profit consultant to guide us through the 501c3 approval process. The consultant has provided significant grant writing resources as well. Grants will be implemented through a board directed review process which will include approval of grant dollars for our partner in Germany.
