We are searching for a volunteer who can lead our development of a new and improved mission and vision statement that will communicate our purpose and vision to a variety of stakeholders. Our ideal volunteer partner will be a creative communicator who is ready to dive into messaging strategy with our team!

We will work together to complete the project through three meetings in three weeks. The first meeting will be an opportunity for our team to provide you with a briefing on our core stakeholders and goals as an organization. We will provide the volunteer with our existing mission or value statement and orient the volunteer to discuss our current vision and the way we deliver on it through our programs. In our second meeting, the volunteer should present a first draft. We will provide feedback. We may work asynchronously for continued feedback, and in our final meeting together, the volunteer will deliver the final, copy-edited version.

Through working with our organization on this project, the volunteer will support our mission by helping us to apply for grant funding and corporate sponsorship with a clear story and vision in order to help us to continue to rescue animals and give them the best care possbile!

We will provide the volunteer with our existing mission, vision, or value statement plus other relevant background materials. Our organization has clearly defined stakeholders and will provide that information to our volunteer partner. We have a designated member of our team available to work with the volunteer on this project.

Organization Mission

Rewild Refuge Farm Sanctuary is a vegan 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Kingston, WA, dedicated to rescuing and providing lifelong care to farmed animals who have faced neglect, abuse, or displacement. At the heart of our mission is an integrated approach to healing - offering not only sanctuary to animals, but also emotional support to members of our community through our Pathways Program, which uses equine-assisted learning to foster emotional resilience, self-awareness, and connection.   We are a volunteer-powered sanctuary caring for a diverse group of rescued animals - horses, pigs, goats, sheep, and more - while serving community members through trauma-informed, non-riding animal-assisted sessions. Each program is designed to promote mutual healing, grounded in compassion and connection to nature.  Your support helps us provide daily care, emergency medical support, enrichment, and the ability to expand our Pathways sessions to underserved groups. At Rewild, we believe in second chances -for animals, for people, and for the land we share.
