Optimize Wix Site for Case Managers

We want to improve the ordering experience for case managers who use our Wix website to request reentry kits for people being released from prison.

Currently, each time a case manager places an order, they must manually re-enter their personal information, even if they are submitting multiple orders. We'd like a skilled volunteer to help us create a user account system that allows case managers to log in, have their information auto-filled in the order form, and view their past submissions. This will reduce repetitive data entry and improve efficiency for case managers who regularly use our site.

The volunteer would assist us by:

Setting up a member login area in Wix
Creating a custom form that auto-fills case manager information once logged in
Connecting the form to a database that stores order submissions
Creating a “My Orders” page where case managers can view their past submissions

We are not looking to sell products or collect payment through the site — the form is simply used to collect information about each reentry kit recipient. We need someone who is comfortable working with Wix and its developer tools (Velo) to make this process more user-friendly and functional.

OurJourney exists to make reentry from prison safer, smoother, and more successful. One of the most practical ways we do that is by providing reentry kits to people returning home—kits filled with essential items. These kits are often ordered by case managers working inside correctional facilities, and every minute they spend filling out repetitive forms is a minute not spent supporting someone preparing for release.

This project will streamline that process, allowing case managers to log in, have their information auto-filled, and submit multiple orders more efficiently. By making it easier to get reentry kits into the hands of people who need them, this project directly supports our mission to reduce recidivism and increase opportunity for returning citizens.

Volunteers who help us build this system won’t just be creating a form—they’ll be helping people come home from prison with dignity, support, and a real chance to succeed.

Our team is fully aligned and ready to support this project. We've clearly defined the problem and outlined the desired workflow for case managers using our Wix site. We’ve gathered all necessary materials, including our current form fields and data structure, and are familiar with Wix’s basic tools.

To ensure smooth collaboration, we will assign a staff member to work directly with the volunteer throughout the project. We’ll implement the solution immediately upon completion and manage it going forward. Our staff is eager to learn from the volunteer and prepared to maintain the system after it’s built.
