Hiring And Recruitment Assistance

We are looking to hire a Director of Programs for our nonprofit. We need help with writing the job description and where to post it. Where to look. How to interview. How to find the right person, the right fit. We tried to do it on our own. It didn't work out so well.

We have lost a lot of time. We have been fortunate in receiving a grant that allows us to hire someone for the first time to help us grow and expand and we wasted a year doing it ourselves and ultimately hiring the wrong person. It's a really special organization with a decent salary and so much room to grow. For the right perosn, this could be the last job they look for.

We are a small nonprofit and have never hired anyone before. We spent hours researching/reading books/ talking with other nonprofits. We went through the entire porcess carefully and thoughtfully. We thought we did a great job. We didn't. We took a swing and thought it was out of the park. But we missed. I hired a great person who can't do the job.
