We're looking for a volunteer with experience setting up a bookkeeping system.

We need help setting up the accounts, importing our current information, and establishing best practices for our in-house staff. With better organization we can better track restricted funds, do our 990s and create reports.

In our first meeting, we'll share a detailed description of our existing financial record-keeping and reporting systems. In phase one of the project, you'll help us migrate our data over to our new software and help us set up accounts and users. In the second phase of our project, you will provide one or two of our team members with basic training.

We are a year old nonprofit. The church that used to fund us closed, so we created a brand new entity to continue to feed people in our community. And we are getting support and donations and funding. We need to manage this. With an organized financial structure, we can spend wisely, be responsible to our current funders, plan how to serve our clients better and demonstrate our ability to grow.

We are ready to hit the ground running. We have all our finances (8 months) tracked in spreadsheets, with backup documentation (most of it scanned). We are small right now with 10-20 transactions a month total. We have a subscription to Quickbooks online (completely unused) and have access to our online banking. Our lead team member has some exposure to Quickbooks and is comfortable with online meetings (sharing screens, etc). We just need specific accounting guidance.
