Develop a 90-Day Marketing and Outreach Strategy
We are seeking a skilled volunteer to help us develop a simple, actionable 90-day marketing and outreach strategy for HIGHER.
This strategy will serve two goals:
• Fuel our fundraising efforts by identifying messaging, platforms, and activities that inspire donors and partners.
• Reach women who could benefit from our free programs through thoughtful, strategic outreach.
Specifically, we would like the volunteer to:
• Conduct a short audit of our current marketing and outreach efforts.
• Help define and segment our key audiences (donors, potential participants, partners).
• Develop core messaging tailored to each group.
• Recommend the best outreach channels (social media, email, partnerships, etc.).
• Create a simple 90-day marketing plan with suggested activities, timelines, and content ideas.
This project will require approximately 2–5 hours per week over 6–8 weeks.
HIGHER is on a mission to help women rise. We provide free coaching, community, and transformative programs to women overcoming abuse, poverty, trauma, and systemic barriers. Our goal is to guide women not just to survive, but to lead, thrive, and create generational change. Strategic marketing and outreach are critical to achieving our mission.
We must:
• Reach women in crisis who need our services.
• Inspire donors and partners to invest in the future of these women.
By helping us build a strong 90-day marketing strategy, the volunteer will play a direct role in expanding our reach, raising critical funds, and helping more women transform their lives.
This project will have an immediate and meaningful impact on the communities we serve.
We have full leadership support for this project and have already gathered important materials, including:
• Branding guidelines and audience profiles.
• Examples of recent campaigns and fundraising efforts.
• Preliminary ideas about target audiences and outreach priorities.
• We will provide the volunteer with:
• Clear starting points for the audit.
• Examples of past communications.
• A dedicated point of contact who will respond quickly, provide feedback, and support decision-making.
Once completed, this strategy will be immediately implemented to guide our fundraising efforts and program outreach for the next quarter. We will also use the roadmap as a foundation to build future communications and marketing efforts.
