We’re looking for a UI/UX designer with experience in map app design. You’ll get a chance to interact with our team and end users to develop an app that’s intuitive, visually appealing, functional and solves important problems.

This role involves creating wireframes, user flows, mockups and interactive user interfaces with accessibility standards in mind so that everyone enjoys using the app.

You’ll also be interacting with our team and end users gathering ideas and feedback to incorporate while adhering to platform-specific guidelines, like Material Design and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.

Together we’ll shape an overall design strategy and deliver a product that will make all New Yorkers smile.

Skills Desired:
• User Interface Design: visual design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
• User Experience Design: strong understanding of user research methodologies, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Prototyping: familiarity with tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or InVision.
• Wireframing: experience with tools like Balsamiq or OmniGraffle.

Nice to have extras:
• Experience with motion graphics and animated video snippets.
• Experience with website and landing page design with SEO in mind.
