Grant Research And Strategy

Develop a grant strategy where we identify where to apply based on what we do as a nonprofit and create the messaging that helps us win grants.

Our mission is to "Ease the suffering of lung cancer patients and their caregivers by raising awareness, supporting early detection, assisting patients, and working to end the stigma associated with the disease".

Lung cancer patients often face a challenging and lonely journey after receiving their diagnosis. With our partners, we passionately support the need for early detection, financially support patients and caregivers, and work towards erasing the stigma of this disease. By bringing the community together, we have raised over $1,000,000, helped over 2,500 patients, and proudly highlight that over 93% of our donations go directly to programs benefiting patients.

We won three grants in 2024 (10K, 2K, and 1K) and see grant writing as a part of our fundraising strategy.
We have identified 60 places to apply to, have applied to 10 of them already, and will apply to a total of 25 places in 2025. Our goal this year is to understand the many components of grant writing and be targeted in our approach in 2026 and beyond.
