We're looking for a volunteer to help us save time and be more strategic with our social media presence. Specifically, you'll create a template for a one-month social posting calendar that we can leverage to make managing our multiple social media channels easy. You'll draft copy for fifteen to twenty posts and make recommendations to customize our content to optimize it for different platforms. We will seek your input on using tools to automate our social media postings. The final deliverable will be the calendar template you create filled with fifteen to twenty different posts.

You're a great fit for us if you're passionate about our mission, you have a background in managing professional social media accounts, and you can spend ten hours over one to three weeks on this project.

This Social Media Strategy Project will directly support The 1st 28 Foundation’s mission by helping us reach more survivors, donors, and community partners through clear, impactful, and engaging digital outreach. Our mission is to provide free, trauma-informed healing journals to survivors of sexual assault and trauma, ensuring they have immediate access to judgment-free tools to begin their healing journey. However, without a strong social media presence, many survivors who need our resources may never find us.

A well-crafted social media strategy will allow us to increase awareness, drive donations to sustain our programs, and build stronger connections with survivors, supporters, and advocacy groups. It will also help us share survivor stories, educate the public on trauma recovery, and inspire people to take action, whether by donating, volunteering, or spreading our message.

Through this project, we will create a clear, sustainable content plan that strengthens engagement, improves visibility, and ensures that our mission continues to grow. By working with a social media strategist, we can amplify our impact and ensure that no survivor has to heal alone.

We are committed to ensuring that this Social Media Strategy Project is set up for success by providing a clear vision, well-organized resources, and a dedicated team ready to implement recommendations. Our leadership team fully supports this initiative, recognizing the critical role that social media plays in increasing awareness, engaging donors, and ensuring survivors have access to our resources. We have already established our website, branding, and social media accounts, but we need expert guidance to refine our messaging, improve engagement, and expand our reach.

To prepare for this project, we have gathered all relevant materials, including past social media content, branding assets, and engagement reports, so that the volunteer has a solid foundation to build upon. We have also taken initial steps to build our digital presence, but we recognize that a structured, data-driven approach is necessary to maximize impact. Once the social media strategy is developed, our team is fully prepared to implement it through a detailed content calendar, an engagement plan, and a performance tracking system to measure success.

This project will empower The 1st 28 Foundation to connect with more survivors, donors, and community partners, amplifying our mission of providing healing resources for those in need. We are excited to collaborate with a volunteer who can help us enhance our social media presence and ensure our message reaches those who need it most.

At The 1st 28 Foundation, we believe that no sexual assault survivor should have to heal alone. The first 28 days after trauma can be the hardest. Many survivors feel lost, overwhelmed, and unsure of where to turn. Too often, they leave hospitals, police stations, and crisis centers with nothing but paperwork—no emotional support, no guidance, and no tools to help them heal. We are here to change that. Our foundation provides free healing journals to survivors of sexual assault and other traumas. These journals give survivors a safe, private space to process their emotions, regain a sense of control, and begin their healing journey. We partner with hospitals, police stations, and advocacy groups to make sure these resources reach those who need them most. Healing should not be a privilege. But for many, therapy is too expensive, mental health resources are hard to find, and trauma-informed care is not always available—especially in marginalized communities. Our mission is to bridge this gap, providing survivors with immediate, judgment-free tools that help them navigate the first and often most difficult days of healing. Every person deserves the chance to heal, to feel safe, and to reclaim their life. With your support, we can reach more survivors, provide more healing resources, and ensure that no one is left to suffer in silence. Together, we can help survivors turn pain into power—one page at a time.
