Earned Income Revenue Strategy

Our organization has identified some potential earned income revenue streams. We would like to partner with a business strategist that can help us evaluate the feasibility and sustainability of these earned income streams. The business strategist would assess the viability of each income stream based on factors like market demand, competition, costs, scalability, and potential risks. We need assistance in determining if the income streams are sustainable in the long term and if they align with your organization's values and capacity.

The strategist would then help us define specific financial goals for our earned income strategy, such as revenue targets or profit margins. Then we will determine the pricing structure for our products or services, considering factors such as market rates, value provided, costs, and target audience affordability. The strategist will help us ensure that our pricing strategy enables sustainability and covers all relevant costs, including production, marketing, overhead, and personnel.

Through working with our organization on this project, the volunteer will support our mission by helping survivors of sexual assault and trauma regain financial stability and independence. The Next Chapter Program provides career coaching, job training, and financial literacy education to help survivors rebuild their lives after trauma. Many survivors face economic insecurity, job loss, and financial hardship, making it even more difficult to heal and move forward.

To expand this program and ensure its long-term sustainability, we need a strategic earned income model that allows us to generate revenue while continuing to serve survivors in need. This project will focus on identifying scalable, mission-aligned revenue opportunities, such as fee-based career workshops, partnerships with employers, or corporate sponsorships that support survivor workforce reintegration.

By working with us, the volunteer will help us create a financially sustainable plan that strengthens our impact, allowing us to reach more survivors, expand career services, and reduce our reliance on grant funding. Their expertise will play a critical role in ensuring that survivors have ongoing access to career coaching and financial education—empowering them to build strong, independent futures. With their support, we can turn survival into stability and healing into opportunity.

We have already identified several revenue streams where our nonprofit has expertise and can potentially offer products or services that align with our mission. We have also identified our target audiences and understand the needs and preferences of your potential customers or clients. We will also supply the strategist with our financial information, including the operating budget.

At The 1st 28 Foundation, we believe that no sexual assault survivor should have to heal alone. The first 28 days after trauma can be the hardest. Many survivors feel lost, overwhelmed, and unsure of where to turn. Too often, they leave hospitals, police stations, and crisis centers with nothing but paperwork—no emotional support, no guidance, and no tools to help them heal. We are here to change that. Our foundation provides free healing journals to survivors of sexual assault and other traumas. These journals give survivors a safe, private space to process their emotions, regain a sense of control, and begin their healing journey. We partner with hospitals, police stations, and advocacy groups to make sure these resources reach those who need them most. Healing should not be a privilege. But for many, therapy is too expensive, mental health resources are hard to find, and trauma-informed care is not always available—especially in marginalized communities. Our mission is to bridge this gap, providing survivors with immediate, judgment-free tools that help them navigate the first and often most difficult days of healing. Every person deserves the chance to heal, to feel safe, and to reclaim their life. With your support, we can reach more survivors, provide more healing resources, and ensure that no one is left to suffer in silence. Together, we can help survivors turn pain into power—one page at a time.
