HR Policy Handbook Updates
We are in search of a knowledgeable expert to assist us in crafting comprehensive HR policies. Our existing HR Employee Handbook for staff is robust, yet our funders have requested a more detailed array of policies to strengthen our organizational framework. We are particularly seeking a volunteer with expertise in policy development to help us formulate the following crucial documents: a Whistleblower Policy to safeguard transparency, a Records Destruction Policy to ensure responsible data handling, a CEO Compensation Policy to clarify executive remuneration, a Grievance Policy to address employee concerns fairly, a Performance Management Policy to foster growth and accountability, a Sexual and Unlawful Harassment Policy to promote a respectful workplace, and an HIV Policy to support inclusivity and understanding. Your skills and insights could make a significant impact on our organization!
At our dynamic nonprofit in southern Zambia, we're transforming lives by providing women's farming cooperatives with solar-powered irrigation systems. This is incredibly important in Africa where the majority of farmers depend on rain but, in Zambia, climate change is causing the rain to become erratic. So irrigation is crucial.
This exciting opportunity as a HR policy expert isn't just about documents, it's about building the capacity of a Zambian team. With your guidance, our Zambia team can make sure they have the right policies in place, which is important to grantmakers. We've enjoyed working with numerous Taproot Plus volunteers, and we wholeheartedly appreciate your generosity. We value your time and commitment and promise to respond to your emails or messages within 24 hours. Our small but agile team makes quick decisions, ensuring our projects stay on track and thrive!
The volunteer will have access to our HR Policy Handbook and will receive feedback from a capacity-strengthening evaluator provided by a major donor. Our team consists of expert writers, so we are confident that these materials will be well-prepared for the volunteer’s tasks. We prefer to collaborate using Google Docs, as it facilitates teamwork, and we hope the volunteer is comfortable with this platform. If not, we can also send Word documents via email. All policies will be shared with employees and stored securely in our Google Drive Knowledge Management System.
