Graphic Design For Marketing Campaign Collateral
My goal for this Taproot Project is to create a compelling visual story for The Color Challenge, which is a creative and inspiring campaign to encourage new monthly donors—A Gift for Teaching's Classroom Heroes. As 10 new Classroom Heroes sign up, they will one-by-one bring color to a classroom photo, symbolizing the vibrant impact of their support. The campaign is set to preview live on March 26.
We seek design support to develop key visual elements for this campaign, ensuring an engaging and impactful donor experience across various platforms.
1) Digital Photo Manipulation – A grayscale classroom photo that transforms with each new donor, incorporating 10 distinct colors: Red, Orange, Golden Yellow, Yellow, Lime Green, Green, Teal, Blue, Indigo, Violet. This would make 11 individual photos that will be used for different communication channels to show progress (social media, website, email, etc.).
2) Email Signature Design – A campaign-branded email signature photo tied into The Color Challenge theme to reinforce messaging across one-to-one Outlook communications.
3) Social Media Assets – Editable graphics that can explain the challenge and be updated as new donors join, showcasing the evolving, colorful transformation of the classroom. Estimated 3-4 assets - start, middle, almost end, end.
Through working with our organization on this project, the volunteer will support our mission by helping to guarantee FREE essential supplies to classrooms in Central Florida throughout the entire school year.
Since 1998, A Gift for Teaching has proudly served public schools in Central Florida as the primary provider of free supplies to teachers for students who need them the most. We provide opportunities for teachers to shop at a store, online for pick-up, and on a mobile store unit for free educational resources that are donated and funded through the generous community. We also offer projects to specifically support new teachers, art teachers, and string music education.
On a mission to provide educational resources that empower educators to inspire future leaders, our vision is that every student has the tools and experiences to succeed.
With the assets designed through this project, we will be able to inspire action, turning supporters into recurring donors who provide supplies for classrooms throughout the year. These visuals will be featured across emails, social media, and our website—giving your work a largescale presence that drives change.
I have prepared for this project by taking key preparatory steps, ensuring that we are ready to collaborate efficiently:
- Clear Scope of Work & Communication Plan: I have a well-defined scope of work that outlines project goals, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring a structured approach. A communication plan is also in place.
- Existing Copy & Content Ready to Go: I have already developed campaign messaging, including email copy and a blog that will serve as a landing page. This allows the focus to remain on enhancing the campaign visually rather than starting from scratch, making the design process more streamlined.
- Strong Internal Buy-in: Our development team is fully on board with this project, and we are ready to integrate the final assets into our outreach efforts immediately.
- Impactful Implementation Plan: The visual assets created through this collaboration will fill in the missing visual elements of the campaign and be incorporated across multiple platforms—email, social media, and our website. By having these assets, we can bring the campaign to life in a compelling and engaging way, ensuring maximum donor engagement and participation.
