We are seeking a volunteer with exceptional sales and business development skills for our new CEO. Our CEO, a dedicated agronomist, has transitioned into a management and leadership role over the past few years. As he steps into the CEO position, he is looking for mentorship in business development. We are looking for someone with experience in managing, mentoring, or coaching, specifically in transferring skills and knowledge.

We anticipate holding one-hour coaching calls every other week, totaling about 2-3 hours per month on average. The volunteer may engage in this role for as long as they wish, but we believe that the most significant impact can be achieved over a period of four months.

The volunteer should be flexible with time zones and patient regarding potential connectivity challenges. WhatsApp and Google Meet are the preferred communication tools for interactions between the US and Zambia.

At our dynamic nonprofit in southern Zambia, we're transforming lives by providing women's farming cooperatives with solar-powered irrigation systems. This exciting opportunity as a business development coach isn't just about sales; it's about making a tangible impact in communities severely affected by drought. With your guidance, these cooperatives can farm year-round, multiplying their incomes and breaking the cycle of extreme poverty that half the population experiences! We've enjoyed working with numerous Taproot Plus volunteers, and we wholeheartedly appreciate your generosity. We value your time and commitment and promise to respond to your emails or messages within 24 hours. Our small but agile team makes quick decisions, ensuring our projects stay on track and thrive!

We have developed an Airtable database of leads, particularly focusing on funders. We are also enhancing our efforts with Asana for project management and tracking our tasks there. The volunteer could assist in outlining business development and sales tasks in Asana. If the volunteer is an expert in Asana, we would greatly appreciate their advice on integrating Airtable with Asana if that would be beneficial.

We are a motivated team eager to learn how to effectively sell and develop new business or funding opportunities, and we look forward to the insights the volunteer can provide.

The Harvest Fund's vision is to be an enterprise that builds the agricultural economy while eradicating poverty and promoting environmental sustainability. Our mission is to improve the livelihoods of Zambian female farming cooperatives. In Zambia and similar countries, women are the backbone of agriculture yet toil away with their bare hands and feet and basic tools. The Harvest Fund creates a profitable half-hectare vegetable plot for each of its 10+ cooperatives that is watered year-round with a solar-powered irrigation system. We provide seed, fertilizer, and regenerative agriculture training to make these women farmers more productive and permanently escape poverty.
