We are Humans of San Quentin, a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the real stories of incarcerated individuals. Our mission is to raise awareness and foster connections by amplifying often unheard voices. Through these personal narratives, we aim to educate, inspire compassion, and shed light on the lives of those living behind bars.

We are looking for a website developer that has experience using Wordpress. Our goal is to create new pages on our website, using our existing pages as a reference for the build, color scheme, and functionality for the new ones.
Ideally, we are seeking candidates with:
-Prior Wordpress and website experience a knack for creativity!
-Prior experience with Google Suites, Asana, and Slack (or willing to learn)
-Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
-Open to direction and thrives in a collaborative, creative work environment while being able to work independently and proactively on multiple tasks.

Through helping us further develop our website platform, volunteers will oversee and support the maintenance of the central tool we use to present the stories of incarcerated individuals to the outside world.

We have been struggling with finding a place on our website to post the influx of mail and material we receive from the incarcerated community. Helping us create new digital spaces on our website will help to offer an even bigger platform to those who write to us, giving them the opportunity to continue expressing themselves.

We would fully equip you with all of the log in materials needed to get into our Wordpress account, and we will ensure to provide a comprehensive write-up detailing the elements we would like to incorporate into our new website pages.
